Since April is Alcohol Awareness Month, let's explore this trending topic about becoming aware and sober curious.

I can vividly recall when I first started seriously questioning the role alcohol played in my life and so began the curious journey.

It was a journey filled with wonder, a little fear and curiosity, maybe like what you're experiencing now if you are going through this in your mind.

I mean, the mere thought of stopping FOVEVER was enough to make me feel downright melancholy.

It's been about six years since then, but I continued drinking lots of wine for another couple of years.

Back then, I was quite the enthusiast for red wine. Every single day, like clockwork, I'd start pouring myself a glass around 5 in the evening as I prepared dinner and another at dinner!

During the pandemic when we were all at home with nothing but time, before I knew it, the entire bottle would be gone come morning.

After some time passed and engaging in introspective work over the following years, I began questioning all the "stories" I told myself about alcohol. I delved into studying and researching its impacts on our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, ultimately putting my newfound knowledge to the test through personal experimentation.

I then understood the nature of how addictive it is, how it is not the elixir of life, and at the same time realizing that alcohol is socially the most acceptable drug!

I began to see it all differently.

It was no longer about "snatching" my wine pour away, it was about opening up a whole new world of living.

When you make the decision to put your well being first, day in and day out, things begin to happen.

That is something worth celebrating.

And whether that means cutting back on alcohol or eliminating it from your life and lifestyle, you get to decide, and that is the answer to the question. For me, it started as an experiment and stumbled into a lifestyle where I can take it or leave it. I love to say, "no thank you, I don't drink.

There is no judgment with your decision.

Both would benefit your life tremendously.

As a certified alcohol coach, the work is around the goal you set for your life.

It's about how you want to feel and experience your life.

Inspiring others to question and experiment and delve into their own paths to uncover all the possibilities of embracing an alcohol free, or mindful drinking lifestyle is worth looking into if you want to take control of alcohol.

I was Curious.....

Regular massages have become a total game-changer for me when it comes to feeling great in midlife.

Back in the day, I used to associate massages solely with those luxurious "vacation getaways," where indulging in fancy cocktails was just part of the experience.

I mean, who doesn't love kicking off the day with a couple of mimosas, right? It was all part of the "Vacay mode" narrative I told myself.

But the reality was that Instead of feeling rejuvenated, I'd often end up feeling sluggish. Turns out, starting the day with a mimosa or two before a massage wasn't exactly the brightest idea.

Why, you ask?

Well, for starters, alcohol is notorious for dehydrating the body, acting as a diuretic. Add in the dehydrating effects of massage therapy—thanks to increased circulation and toxin release—and you've got a recipe for serious dehydration.

And let me tell you, being dehydrated makes me feel lousy: tired, headachy, and just generally uncomfortable.

Now that I have kicked booze to the curb, what a difference in how a massage makes me feel.

They work wonders for improving circulation, releasing muscle tension, and promoting healing on multiple levels—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

And that healing part?

Well, it turns out alcohol can really throw a wrench in that process. It messes with our body's natural healing mechanisms, impairing the immune system and slowing down our ability to repair

So, while a morning mimosa might seem like the perfect pairing with a massage, I am glad that now I know the truth about why it's not

These days, I'm all about prioritizing self-care and letting the massage work its magic without any interference from alcohol.

Trust me, my body thanks me for it!

If you ever want to discuss your relationship with alcohol, I would love to hear from you!

This is a safe and private space provided for you,

HEY LADIES........

Age is not a barrier to dreaming or being inspired, in fact, it is a new found energy of wisdom and authenticity.

The other day I was curious about my dreams from younger days, and decided to write my younger self a little note.

Dear remarkable you:

Congratulations on embracing your freedom and

reaching this empowering chapter of your life!

It is time to unleash the full force of your dreams and aspirations!

Amazing, but how?

Begin by taking the time to explore your passions and discover what truly lights you up!

Follow the paths the excite, challenge you and bring you joy.

It can be learning a new skill, pursuing a long held ambition, or you can begin a new adventure

Midlife, a transformative phase of life, and can bring a unique set of experiences and challenges for women.

As I continue into midlife, I embrace my true self unapologetically.

This is a time to find balance, wellness, and fulfillment, while embracing our natural selves and shedding societal expectations and finding our authentic voice.

I understand that my worth doesn't lie with external appearances but in the wisdom, grace, and experiences I have and will continue to gain throughout my life,

I let go of societal pressures and honor the uniqueness of my journey.

I recognize that true well-being encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.

I love prioritizing holistic health, nurturing my body, mind, spirit and savoring life's joys and blessings.

Midlife is not a time to fear, but an opportunity to embrace all of life's rich tapestry and be grateful for the beauty of every moment.

Mid Lifer........rock it!
